THE CLASPING HAND

"The Clasping Hand" sculpture is on display in
Pottstown, PA.
Sculpted by John Chalk, a former Marine Sergeant in
Korea.

In 1995 Mr. Chalk was commissioned to sculpt a life size bronze figure for a Vietnam Memorial in Pottstown, PA. Cold cast bronze replicas (a mixture of resins and bronze powder) of his working model are now available for purchase. The "Clasping Hand" statue stands 10 1/2" tall on a base of solid black walnut.

| National Veteran's Awareness Week |
| Senate Resolution 155 designates the week of November 6 through November 12th, 2005, as "National Veterans Awareness Week." The resolution encourages schools to develop education programs regarding the contributions of veterans to the country and urges all Americans to observe the week with appropriate activities.
